ATOL

Air Travel Organiser’s Licence

ATOL protects you from losing your money or being stranded abroad. It does this by carrying out checks on the tour operators and travel organisers it licenses, and requiring them to take part in a financial guarantee scheme managed by the Air Travel Trust (ATT) which provides the funds to protect customers should a firm fail.  In some cases a licence holder will also provide a bond, which is lodged with the ATT and provides additional funds (www.caa.co.uk). John Proctor Travel deals with many ATOL bonded Tour Operators and we also have our own ATOL licence for use in some circumstances. JPT staff will always be able to advise you of the financial protection afforded to any of our travel products.

Many of the flights and flight-inclusive holidays on this website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. But ATOL protection does not apply to all holidays and travel services listed on this website. Please ask us to confirm what protection may apply to your booking. If you do not receive an ATOL Certificate then the booking will not be ATOL protected. If you do receive an ATOL Certificate but all parts of your trip are not listed on it, those parts will not be ATOL protected. Please see our booking conditions for information or for more information about financial protection and the ATOL Certificate go to: www.atol.org.uk/ATOLCertificate
